City

For several seasons I sat on the sidewalks of Krakow's streets and painted from life oil paintings that show gas valves, drains, basement windows, various small imperceptible details. In addition to the images created at that time, the specific experience of the city, meetings and conversations with people was important to me. Then, in the studio I arranged small paintings into large polyptychs. The project ended with the display Ikonostas Miasto at the Krakow Zderzak Gallery and the publication of a subjective city plan, marking the places where the objects I painted are located.
